This adorable Friendship Sloop has been looked after very well as you will see from the photographs. There are a few areas down below that need a little painting but generally she looks really good and is ready for her next owner.
Owners Comments
Windsong' is a gaff-rigged cutter in a 'Friendship' (American) sloop style. LOA 37' and LOD 28' with 9' beam and 4'6" draft. She was built in 1978 in Haslars (Jersey) of Kahaya carvel strip planking on steam bent oak frames with an Iroko/lead long keel and Teak laid decks. As new Volvo D120 diesel engine, 4 berths, varnished timber spars and stainless steel rigging, with gold leaf cutter bow decoration and counter-stern. Much of the running rigging is led back to her cockpit for ease of sailing. A very seaworthy and stable boat, 'Windsong' is a beautiful traditional yacht which is rarely available in the U.K although there are records of around 289 craft dating back to the 1920's.
