Broker's Comments
Purchased just over a year ago by her current owner who now finds he is unable to keep her, we are delighted to offer this very nice Tayana 55 at a very competitive price.
Her previous owner purchased her in 2003 in Singapore, to be used initially as a liveaboard and then to sail in retirement, however after an extensive refit ( details below ) his plans also changed and she was sold to her current owner.
We have a copy of the June 2018 pre purchase survey available for inspection by interested parties, the owner informs us that all major recommendations were attended to.
Refit details:
Teak deck sanded and re caulked.
Hydraulic cylinder on Vang replaced.
Raymarine Chart Plotter upgraded to e97 model.
Raymarine Radar upgraded to HD Colour.
Simrad Autopilot replaced with updated Raymarine EV-400. system, with remote controller.
New engine instrument panel installed.
Wiring for Forestay furler re-routed (off the deck).
Forestay lower bracket upgraded.
All sails inspected and repaired as necessary.
New deck cushions.
All safety wires replace.
New Charger/Inverter installed.
Bow Thruster installed (Holland Marine –water jets)
Electrical panel rewired.
110v outlets connected.
Ceiling lights upgraded.
Lounge aircon overhauled.
New 12v/AC refrigerator installed above counter.
Freezer overhauled with new compressor and cold plates.
Below counter drinks fridge overhauled.
Fuel and water filler hoses replaced.

Hull above water line was sanded back to the fiberglass, covered with an epoxy coating and re painted with Awlgrip.
All through hull fittings below the water line replaced.
All sea cocks replaced.
New prop shaft, flex coupler, and rope cutter.
Dripless shaft seal installed.
The current owner has replaced the canvass dodger etc, fitted 2 x new 8D AGM House Batteries, installed a new Freezer evaporator, replaced the dinghy and added 2 x Sea Eagle 2 person Kayaks.
