Broker's Comments
Here we have a light project Seamaster 27 that runs very well as she was driven two hours to get to us to sell.
The boat was in very good condition last year just in need of some updating. However, she has been moored in an exposed location over the winter and has suffered from some hull scratching and paint being rubbed off and a Broken hull vent cover. This is all minor and I have asked a local boat GRP specialist for a quote which is £650 to repair the surface scratch and paint damage to the hull.
The hull and topsides are still in original gelcoat and she runs and drives fine according to the owner and as I was present when she arrived I can confirm that she ran just fine. She has a frugal Ford 1.8 diesel conversion that looks to have been installed some time ago in her life and properly marinized and will be cheap to run.
She is overall a very light project and a well appointed Seamaster with calorifier with immersion heater fitted, diesel warm air heating and a nice cockpit. She is open plan inside and here cushions have covers that are a tad retro. The original seat coverings are underneath and there is some damage to them from my quick look at them so I would recommend having them recovered - but they are serviceable.
Offered as a project she should be looked over with that in mind as items may be disconnected or not working.
These boats offer a good build and are very popular and she would be a very quick restoration but is fully usable. The current owner had a porta loo in her which he has removed for obvious reasons. Her bilge looks clean and dry and she is offered at a price to sell.
She has a BSS certificate to May 2023 and was bought by her current owner in 2022. They do not have the time or ability to carry on boating so she is offered a bargain light project accordingly. She has a full document pack with her detailing some of her history.
If you want a light project vessel that's a good runner then this is a bargain.
