Broker's Comments
The wider 10'6" beam of this 1991 model Sea-Ray 280 Sundancer makes it an attractive model for buyers. The owner used this boat as a dedicated and active member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and kept it up as an exemplary illustration of high standards. I am impressed with how clean it is and how much useable space is available in a boat this size. The extra beam really makes a difference. Also remarkable is the solid record-keeping by the owner. Much money was put in to this boat to ensure it was kept up. Documentation supports that statement, and this boat looks to be a very good value. Equipped for Northwest coastal cruising so it includes items not found on similar models in other parts of the country. Included is a newer Garmin multi-function chart plotter display and digital compass.
The exterior canvas and window plastic show signs of wear, sun deterioration, and organic growth, but they are functional. The hull has a noticeable shine to it.
The first 11 years of its life was spent in fresh water. The boat is now taken out of the water and kept winterized for 6 mo. each year.
This machine is well suited to exploring the beauty of the Puget Sound for a whole family.
