Broker's Comments
This Project Marine 27 (now Princess Marine) is a real gem of a boat that has been constantly improved by her owners. She is powered by Twin Thorneycroft 35hp diesels with only 500 hours. The engines are clean and tidy and show signs of regular maintenance and appear to start and run very well indeed. The list of improvements supplied by the current owner is extensive to say the least.
The Enfield outdrives were fully reconditioned by local expert engineering Toby Cox of Stalham in 2019. The engines were fully serviced in 2020. She has a current Boat safety scheme certificate to March 2023 and is currently broads tolled for 2021. She was last antifouled in 2019.
She also benefits from a very recent full survey from 2019 which is available.
This delightful boat offers a large and pleasingly upholstered cabin and saloon area that can sleep 5 in comfort. The layout is very convivial and cosy inside and yet very practical. The heads door can close off the front sleeping area for privacy if required.
The small galley to port is adequate for most needs and is well integrated into this spacious and well constructed vessel. The head has a manual pump out toilet to holding tank and full shower.
The twin engine configuration is not that common in a 27 foot boat of this type and offers very easy and predictable handling and fantastic manoeuvrability, not to mention the additional safety of a second engine to get you home should one have a problem. This boat has had so much done to her that she is very much a standout example of the type, and must be seen to be fully appreciated. She represents excellent value for the accommodation and level of equipment fitted. Offering fun times afloat to a good sized family or two couples.
Recent works include new headlinings and various trim and upholstery around the boat, new led lighting, new shower pump, windows all removed and resealed, new canopy (late 2019) and the list goes on and on. New water tanks fitted 2015. The boat has a large easy to access cockpit with removable steps, that the current owners have used as a patio / small aft garden with deck chairs and table, however the original rear seating is also supplied and is in good condition. Davits and the original seat pedestals are all included in the sale if the current owners cockpit layout is not to your particular taste.
There are a few minor items that would benefit from tidying up such as fit internal ceiling ventilation covers to the ventilation apertures in the headlining, and possible completion of cockpit side trims (again to your taste). Other than this minor criticism, she is a very tidy and well presented example of the type and a joy to be aboard. She just had the topsides fully repainted to a very high standard of workmanship and she gleams in the sunlight as can be seen in the pictures. This boat is sure to please her new owners and be a home from home on the river all year round with her diesel heating only adding to the comfort levels.
