Broker's Comments
These boat details are subject to contract.
This imposing Princess 412 is presented immaculately and she benefits from upgrades throughout. The upholstery has been upgraded and gives a comfortable and enhances the bright and airy feel to the saloon area. The boat has been looked after meticulously by her fastidious owner. She has a fantastic service history and has been looked after on a no expense spared basis. The owner has made the following comments - Built by Marine Projects, Plymouth in 1980 the hull was designed by John Bennett. Over the last 14 years this yacht has been refurbished and maintained to a very high standard with no regard to cost. She also has the benefit of being Part 1 Registered.
Marine Projects only produced 20 of these luxury motor yachts and in 1980 the Princess 412 was the flagship of the Princess range and the Star of the Show at the 1980 Earls Court Boat Show.
She is fitted with very economical yet very powerful Volvo Penta TAMD 60B twin diesel engines, 235 HP each, and the upgraded commercial application twin disc gearboxes. She also benefits from the insertion of a new Mase Marine Sea Water Generator making her self sufficient when at sea. She has been re-upholstered throughout to a very high standard. New oven and hob fitted. That is still unused. The entire boat has been re-wired and re-plumbed. She has a new hot water cylinder, new fresh water tank, new automatic fresh water pump with accumulator tank, new hot and cold aft deck swim and rinse shower – the list is endless.
The boat is currently out of the water having its annual maintenance, i.e. anti foul, new anods, propellers checked. Propeller shaft cutlass bearings all good – replaced 3 years ago. Hull polished, bathing platform dismantled and teak slats re-varnished to a high standard. All sea cocks serviced and a new survey carried out. She also benefits from two excellent previous Marine Surveys. This boat is seriously for sale and I would consider PX Exchange. Anything considered. Caravan, car, classic car, commercial vehicle, boat etc.
The accommodation is cavernous and would suit a family or two couples who enjoy extended cruising. She will provide a lot of enjoyment for her next discerning owner. She is the best example of a Princess 412 that I have seen to date.
