Broker's Comments
This Moody Carbineer 52 is Classic in many ways; an example of Moody at its best. Only 7 or 8 were built all bespoke to the first owner’s requirements. They are off course a most capable Bluewater Yacht designed by Laurent Giles; the hull was produced by Halmatic and the bespoke fit out by A H Moody & Sons of Swanwick. On deck there is an aft cockpit with wheel steering from the binnacle. Forward of the cockpit is the mizzen mast and then the companionway leading to the saloon. The Saloon contains ample seating, plus the second helm position and navigation area. To starboard there is access from the saloon to the aft cabin with its own en-suite and plenty of storage. Forward of the saloon step down into the large galley; then moving further forward the port, starboard and fore cabins.
This yacht has been upgraded in recent years and in 2010 had a new Perkins diesel engine fitted that has only completed 276hours (May 2012). The saloon upholstery has also been redone in cream leather. My overall impression is that this is clearly a quality yacht built to go anywhere and in well cared for condition.
