Broker's Comments
It’s easy to see why the centre cockpit Moody 346 is still such a popular cruising yacht. Designed by Bill Dixon and built by Marine Projects as an improvement to the Moody 34, they definitely tick a lot of boxes for extended cruising with friends, family or indeed solo/short handed.
This example benefits from a fin keel, giving good direction and stability. There is a stack pack and lazy jacks for easier handling of the main, a generous spray hood to shelter the gangway, an enormous lazarette for storing all the deck equipment and a sugar scoop stern to enable safer boarding from a tender.
Down below the high quality & well designed accommodation is spacious and comfortable. The saloon is light and airy with a huge saloon table and plenty of seating. The L shaped galley with twin sinks & fridge is well equipped. The aft cabin is again very spacious with an en-suite sink and twin opening transom ports. There is also hot and cold water throughout, Mikuni heating to all cabins and plenty of storage.
This vessel has been extensively sailed single handedly by the current owner. Well maintained (professionally), clean, tidy and well equipped, it is well worth considering.
