Broker's Comments
This substantial ketch rigged motor sailer, a Macwester Seaforth 36, has carried out lots of family sailing during its last 10 years of ownership. With the children having now flown the nest, the owner has decided to downsize.
Sturdy & seaworthy, this yacht offers good protection from the elements as well as comfort. The wheelhouse and accommodation both have excellent head room, are well equipped and appear to be in good condition throughout. Clean, tidy & spacious down below, there is the added advantage of hot / cold water, cabin heating, 6’2” headroom and a built in TV.
Reefing for the main & headsail can be controlled from a deep centre cockpit. The wheelhouse offers excellent protection, good all round visibility and the ability to remain dry whilst crossing the channel or undergoing a long passage. Also able to navigate shallow waters and take the ground on drying moorings, this vessel offers a lot of flexibility.
All in all, a strong, practical, long term live-aboard / family cruiser that has been well maintained and equipped.
