Broker's Comments
Ratty once said ‘there is nothing - absolutely nothing, half so worth doing as - simply messing around in boats’ and this is the perfect boat for messing about on the river!
A light but stable clinker-built boat for the whole family, ideally suited for lakes, rivers and sheltered coastal waters. Made from aircraft grade corrosion resistant aluminium, the boat is light, easy to manoeuvre, extremely economical and, as a bonus, claimed to be unsinkable when waterlogged and carrying 4 people.
There is storage space under the central bench seating, with the fuel tank located in the aft locker. Also included is a set of oars, rowlocks and a road legal trailer. This Linder 440 has had little use and when not in use has been stored under cover and it is therefore in excellent, as new, condition. The same can be said for the engine which has less than 50 hours running time and serviced before the start of each season.
If you want a boat for fishing, wildlife spotting, picnics or just spending a lazy summer’s day ‘messing about on the river’ this has to be a contender. This Linder 440 could also be used a working boat or tender.
