Broker's Comments
'Built to standard, rather than price' is how Hardy Marine describe the construction of all their motor yachts over the last 40 years. They build a wide range of boats in Norfolk, UK and all are designed with comfort, safety and sea-keeping in mind.
The Hardy Commodore 36, first launched at the 1996 London Boat Show, is a beautiful example of that quality. Her trawler-yacht style allows an extraordinary amount of usable space both above and below decks but without seeming to compromise her attractive lines or handling abilities.
Shallow steps and strong handrails mean that moving around on deck feels safe and secure when at sea and there's still lots of open deck to relax on once you've arrived.
Below, her layout manages to combine practicality with comfort, beautifully finished with a luxurious feel and clever features throughout to enable her to adapt to whatever your requirements may be.
As well as the meticulous attention to detail in design, this particular example has had the benefit of experienced and caring owners and it shows in the way she presents. On deck she has a place for everything and from the replacement decking to the bespoke hard dinghy on the davits she appears smart and seamanlike.
Below, that quality really shows, the interior timber gives a traditional finish offset by bright fresh feeling of space and comfort.
Hardy owners are a loyal bunch, they have an active owners association with a wealth of knowledge willingly shared and the Commodore 36 seems to be held in very high regard amongst them. Having spent just a little time aboard this one I can already see why!
