Broker's Comments
Built by the well respected McConaghy Yachts in Sydney in 1998 and Launched as “Southern Star” she was shipped to the USA, where in 2000 she Won Farr 40 Worlds.
Later sold to Shipwright in Annapolis USA who maintained her in tip top condition and then sold on again, ( we have a copy of the survey ) shipped to HK in 2013 and on to Thailand around 2016, where she has been owned by keen Farr 40 racers ever since.
In Oct 2018 the Mast was pulled & the Rigging Dye Tested ( again we have a copy of the report ) & she was Re-Wired with all new instruments fitted, the motor has recently been serviced & the Topsides polished ( May 2019 ).
A Fast, lightweight, Farr 40 – class standard, she is very competitive boat with decent saIls and no significant incidents.
Recent IRC Certificate. The boat is currently in Cat 4 safety Audit. Flares, Life jackets and all safety items are included.
New B&G 5000 instruments and lots of sails make this boat somthing of a bargain.
Australian flagged.
