The hull lines are of the deep-vee configuration in service with over 400 high speed Fairey boats. An important feature is the fine entry and considerable flare forward which assures a soft dry ride at higher speeds even in adverse weather conditions; but above all the hull provides the highest degree of seaworth iness with unequalled handling characteristics.
The hull is of cold moulded wood construction with cascover nylon/epoxy sheathing up to gunwhale sheerline. The four box girder engine bearers with 10
bilge stringers tied to the 28 frames run the length of the boat which, together with subsidiary structures, provide the necessary torsional and longitudinal
stiffness, at minimum weight. The result is a fast easily driven hull with a particularly high strength to weight ratio, having the ability to maintain sustained high speeds in most sea conditions.

Broker's Comments

This is a collector's yacht. Only two Fairey Amiras were ever built and now only one still exists. She doesn't just exist she sparkles in an aura of beauty and elegance. This is a boat you will never "own" you will instead become a trustee of a priceless piece of maritime history. I want to persuade the vendor to take me for a sea trial. She easily cruises at over 30 knots. Her hull is designed for high speed comfort and safety.

The vendor has just (16/9/2014) agreed to lower the price to £165,000) for anyone buying her before the end of the year. After that the price will be increased to £185,000.

The boat has just been coded for commercial operation although she is not currently operating commercially. The fact that she is coded is a guarantee of the very high standard of construction and safety gear on the vessel.

This 'Luxury Super Yacht,' is equipped for Sports Fishing. No expense has been spared, she is fully coded and ready to go for commercial chartering or for private fishing parties of up to ten guests and two crew.
