Broker's Comments
I am pleased to present this lovingly converted houseboat, a 1942 52ft ex Admirality Harbour Launch.
In their day they were the “maids of all work " and her old fashioned design has now been converted to create a home with quirky nautical features, making her unique.
The original wheelhouse has been extended to create an open living area with plenty of light and stunning views.
From the wheelhouse a hatch takes you down below to the main living room with office space .The log burner provides warmth in the cooler months and creates a lovely atmosphere in the lounge area witha full size sofa that converts to a double bed .
Passing through a hand carved mermaid door takes you into what would have been the engine room .The diesel engine, which was originally steam, creates a stunning feature and next to this is the heads with a full size bath and shower . The aft cabin ,with double berth ,features plenty of storage and double doors giving access to the rear and a magical sliding roof.
On the fwd deck there is a seating area where you have the opportunity to sit, relax and gaze across the water enjoying the views and to the aft there is a shed which offers storage ,built to house a washing machine .This is all accessed via a ramp .
I strongly recommend a viewing in person.
