The boat was purchased in 2000 by the current owner and shipped from the East Coast to the Pacific Northwest. These boats are rare and desirable on the West Coast.
The boat exterior is in need of repainting of trim stripes and a faux window facade on the forward cabin. The faux window design is a characteristic of the Egg Harbor Golden Egg model. A small piece of molding at the anchor platform needs repair as well.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

The Good 200 windlass is a capstan-type for the all-line rode. This is common for Atlantic sportfish boats that must deploy and pull anchors quickly and frequently when fishing offshore. All anchoring can be handled remotely from the flybridge.

The Egg Harbor 38 Golden Egg is a heavily-built powerful boat intended for fast transit to and from offshore fishing areas in the rough sea conditions of the Atlantic coast. This design feature makes it an ideal boat for weekend getaways and vacations in the San Juan Islands and Puget Sound in any weather.
It is also designed for gracious entertaining and cruising with ample space available thanks to a 15 foot beam. The cockpit is enormous and would hold a crowd for day trips and dockside entertaining. For fishing, it is fully equipped down to the live bait well. Inside, the salon and galley are set up with open space in mind and a great viewpoint through tinted glass windows. This is a two stateroom boat that would be a great vacation home on the water.
The boat is commanded from a lofty flybridge with guest seating and a rugged aluminum structure to support a full canvas enclosure. Full controls for the 502 CID Crusader engines and all electronics are installed here, permitting all space in the cabin below for accommodations with no helm in the interior to take up space.
Egg Harbor boats are highly regarded as tough offshore boats with style, and are a rare find out here. This boat can be powered through tide rips and chop, or throttled back to cruise leisurely with reasonable economy. And, when you get there, the comfort of this big 38 foot boat will take care of you, your family, and your friends in style. If you're a fan of "The Soprano's" this is the same boat as Tony's "Stugots."
