Dutch steel sailing barge for sale in the Midi. Boatshed Midi Canal is pleased to offer an unusual barge for sale, only three of these Dutch sailing barges were made and exact details of manufacturer are sketchy but certainly connected to the Woerden boat yard in Holland. Designed as transporters, this one was commandeered by the Dutch Inland waterway authorities.
Her present owner of almost 20 years has always used her as a pleasure craft and kept her as original as possible including the rigging and sails.
Moored in the South of France on the Canal du Midi and close to the Etang de Thau, she is in a superb place for cruising the canals, sailing on the Etang du Thau and with easy access to the Meditteranean.
Keep her in her present style or ready to be converted to a live aboard with space for 2 double cabins, a galley as part of the saloon and bathroom.
