Broker's Comments
This Dean 380 catamaran was designed and built in South Africa and then shipped to the UK by her first owners. She then sailed to France and on to Gibraltar where her current owners prepared her for long distance liveaboard cruising. Due to changes in their family circumstances those plans have changed and so she is on the market looking for the next adventure.
She's RCD Cat A, VAT paid, fully spec'd and has been modified well internally by an extremely knowledgeable present owner. Although designed for offshore cruising she's equally at home sailing locally in and out of marinas or anchorages - twin engines means she maneuvers easily under power, lines led into the cockpit allows for safe shorthanded sailing and the hard-top style bimini with brand new (still being finished) cockpit enclosure will keep out any weather - rain or shine!
Below, all the home comforts work whether sailing or tied up with 12v and 220v systems throughout. The berths are all full sized doubles and the saloon with its clever slide and open table allows for relaxing or dining in this very attractive deck level area. Extra storage has been created in previously unused spaces and all the work undertaken appears to have been thought through and completed professionally
Reviewed to sail well, attractive, versatile, comfortable - if this is the sort of boat you are thinking about then I highly recommend you come and view this one!
