Broker's Comments
This Chaparral 180SSi is ready to go for the upcoming season and is keenly priced for someone to get on the water straightaway.
It's a 2003 model but doesn't feel it because it has been well looked after by the current owner who has had it since 2010 and made some decent upgrades, the main one being the TekDek flooring in the cockpit, a big upgrade on the original carpet. The upholstery is all in great condition with no rips or tears along the seams anywhere to be seen.
There is still only 162 hours on the engine and it has been winterised and serviced every season. The boat has spent the vast majority of its lifetime stored ashore.
The boat comes with summer covers for the bow and main cockpit, a full bimini and a part bimini and a full winter cover. The road trailer is in decent condition but the braking system would need servicing as it has been disconnected. The gelcoat is slightly discoloured below the waterline but a decent polish would get that back to its best.
As I said, there is nothing stopping someone using this boat straightaway and having just sold my own Bayliner 185 which is very similar in design and performance, these make great starter boats, cheap to run, easy to launch and recover and brilliant for friends and family.
