Broker's Comments

This project boat has a plethora of history and is a veteran of the Dunkirk Little Ships that were pressed into service to evacuate the beaches! She made three trips to Dunkirk from Dover with a crew of naval personnel!

As a lifeboat she served in 1933 for 30 years at Shoreham and was launched 244 times saving 143 civilian lives! Her crew receiving several gallantry awards.

In 1973 she was purchased by a gentleman from Bangor, in Ireland, re-named DOWAGER, and converted to a private motor yacht.

This would be a worthy project and a rare opportunity to buy one of a small number of former Royal National Lifeboats that served at Dunkirk.

She is built of double skin Mahogany and are all copper fastened on oak timbers.

It's worth noting that where the boat is on hard standing there are all the facilities to work on the project and plenty of professional help if required!

A rare opportunity to own a part of our maritime history and become a member of the most exclusive yacht club in the world!!
