Broker's Comments

Boatshed Essex are pleased to be listing this Norseman 38. Built by Viking Marine, the boat is currently used as a dive boat, although she presents as having a variety of potential uses. The last survey was carried out in May 2018, with all recommendations completed and the boat was Commercially Coded, as a Category 3 vessel for 8 passengers and 2 crew, which expired in October 2018.

This boat has a good selection of equipment, externally and internally, with a spacious cockpit and interior. The cockpit features benches either side and the stern mounted electric lift. Inside, there is a spacious galley well placed to look after a crew or passengers. Across from the galley, to starboard, is a long seat for respite from the weather and further forward, back on the port side the helm. The helm benefits from a robust and comfortable looking seat and a an array of navigation and safety instruments. The engine is accessed within this saloon area and there is also the access, down into the forward cabin. This cabin features plenty of personal stowage space, two sizeable single berths and access into the heads, with shower, basin and toilet.

On visiting this boat, there was a sense of ongoing upkeep and a recent period of investment in safety and functional improvements. This boat presents a variety of potential options, both commercially and privately, including diving, fishing, and cruising. The hull has an attractive finish and the decks and interior just look to need the usual 'spring clean' after a the winter. If you are looking for a vessel of this type, we would recommend you consider this one. If you have any questions or would like a personal viewing, please do contact our office and we will be pleased to help.
