Broker's Comments

This Litton Trawler, originally built in 1978, provides spacious accommodation for 4 people in two cabins, a design that the Taiwanese builders styled on the classic 'Grand Banks'.

With a GRP hull & deckhouse, a oarticular feature of these yachts is the extensive teak interiors, furniture and external trim & fittings. The extent of the teak fit out includes doors, access hatches, window frames, furniture, bulkhead panelling and full parquet flooring to both cabins and the main saloon.

Externally, teak decks are laid with king planks margin boards and curved deck batttens adding to the overall high quality aesthetic of the decking and coach roof/flybridge tops. Additionally teak capped handrails extend around the deck safety rails, forward shaped bulwarks and even to the stern/aft bathing platform.

The main saloon has port & stbd sliding door access from the wide side decks allowing easy access all around the main deck. To stbd the door is next to the helm seat, allowing easy access to the deck when berthing for example. On the port aft side of the saloon the port sliding door provides easy access to and from the main deck without impeding the helmsman.

With large windows right around the main saloon, all round visibility is good from the raised helm position, and similarly provide swathes of natural light to the stbd side galley and port side L-shaped settee complete with a teak extending/fold out dining table.

The raised helm position has a range of nav. equipment and controls. The majority of the navionics are older/discontinued models, and this would be an area that may need updating if the intention was to sail the yacht on coastal/sea journeys.

Adjacent to the helm position is the access doorway down in to the for'd V berth twin cabin with full en-suite facilities including manual WC/basin/shower, and with wardrobe and locker storage. This cabin benefits from plenty of natural light from P&S high level windows in the raised coach roof sides, and an impressive butterfly skylight/hatch in the deckhead which opens onto the fore deck coach roof.

Returning back in to the saloon, the galley has a fridge/freezer, gas cooker & hob, with a hinged cover over the hob built in to the galley worktop, and a double stainless steel sink, with a range of lockers/shelving storage.

In the port aft corner of the main saloon adjacent to the sliding door to main deck is a companionway with steps down in to the aft master cabin. This cabin has a double berth to port, and an en-suite bathroom to stbd with basin, manual WC and shower/half bath. There is a range of built in storage in the cabin, including hanging space, lockers and drawers. To stbd aft is a private access stairway leading via a sliding hatchway direct to the aft main deck.

From the aft main deck there is a step onto the main cabin coach roof top, with space for a table and chairs or loungers for example. From this coach roof top there are steps for'd up onto the flybridge.

The flybridge itself has good open deck space aft, with 4 double back to back bench seats forward, seating 8 in total. The seat and back cushions are all as new, The for'd stbd bench seat is adjacent to the flybridge helm repeater position, with a range of duplicated controls and basic instrumentation. This flybridge helm provides a commanding position with excellent 360 degree unimpeded visibility.

The engine room and single main engine is accessed through portable deck hatch panels in the main saloon floor, providing good access to the engine and other equipment mounted in the engine room for inspection, operations, maintenance purposes.

Overall, this trawler yacht belies her age, and is presented in excellent condition, having had numerous updates & renovation works, which includes a new stainless steel shaft, all new flybridge, saloon and cabin cushions/mattress pads and new blinds to the main saloon windows.

Other works have included hull painting/polishing, extensive multi coat varnishing of all teak furniture & fittings, and teak deck sanding/maintenance. The highly varnished wood all over the yacht gives the yacht an elegant timeless feel and retains the original look of when the yacht was first built. An extensive historical documentation pack actually includes photographs from its original build in 1978.

This yacht would make an ideal live aboard with weekend river cruising, and with a navionics update would make an ideal adventure/cruising yacht, the space onboard certainly makes this yacht feel more like a small ship.
