Broker's Comments
Designed by Dave Jackman & professionally built by Supercraft in Henderson West Australia, this fuel efficient, self sufficient, long range cruising catamaran is comfortable, very well equipped and easily managed by a couple, as evidenced by her current owners who have lived aboard for 7 years, during which time they have voyaged from Fremantle West Australia to Gold Coast Queensland, via the Southern Ocean, made multiple voyages up and down the Queensland coast, traveled from Brisbane Qld to Darwin Northern Territory Australia, then in (2011) Darwin to Kimberley and Broome and return over 4 months in the dry season (fully independent and unsupported remote cruising, no fuel or provisioning available), (2012) Darwin to Kimberley return again for 3 months and finally Darwin to Kupang / Bali / Singapore Straits/ Langkawi / Thailand over a few years via Indonesian Archipelago.
Some of the highlights of the vessel include:
Proven blue water performance, Repowered in 2006 with new Yanmar LHA STP motors, Westerbeke 5.7 Kva genset installed 2006 to complement existing Perkins 12 Kva genset, 150 L per hour water maker, 2400 btu Ducted saltwater cooled air conditioner, 1 Hp split air cooled air conditioner, fuel capacity of 4,400 litres diesel giving a range of over 2000 NM ( Plus 2 x 1000 L deck fuel bags ), Fuel polishing system , Racor filters, Full sized galley with huge eutectic fridge and freezer, Two large double cabins, Two full sized showers and toilet rooms, Three single bunks in 2 separate cabins plus pilot berth in wheelhouse, solar panel system with eight 80 watt panels ( 640 w total ), Dinghy platform to lift 3.7 Aluminium dinghy ( chosen because of the high freeboard so that the crocs can't get at you ), 15hp and 8 Hp Yamaha motors, port and starboard Maxwell electric anchors winches and chains (110 M 3/8” to stb'd and 70 m ½“ chain to port). Collision bulkheads for'd and watertight engine rooms aft.
She is well equipped with all the electronic navigation aids you need, a spare parts inventory too big to list here and the owners say absolutely ready to continue cruising.
As well as making a great expedition yacht she could equally well lend herself to dive charters or long range deep sea fishing charters.
