The Stevens yard is well respected for quality work and this nicely kept cruiser left their yard in 1989. A PVC black water tank has since been installed (around 100L capacity)

Note that there has been a water leak over the dinette due to a screw missing on the horn fixing, now all corrected but the wood panel hasn't been changed. During my viewing, I found the boat absolutely dry inside.

Dutch steel cruiser for sale in France. Boatshed Bourgogne is pleased to offer this dutch steel cruiser built in 1989 in the famous Dutch yard STEVENS. This 1040 is number 34 of the production run and was first sold in the Uk. We have proof of VAT paid status and since 1996, trace of the last 4 owners available.
Quality built, light wood panels inside, well equipped galley, blown warm air central heating from a diesel burner, this cruiser will be ideal for a couple with occasional guests or a family who wants to enjoy cruising the French Waterways and more...in a very good comfort. Thanks to a black water tank installed, you will be welcome on the Dutch, German, Belgium waterways too.
Synthetic teak deck, almost new adds comfort on the aft deck as does the bimini. Aft & side doors to the interior facilitate circulation & manoeuvres. All in all I was impressed by a well kept, practical cruiser. A lot to offer in less than 11m.
Presently moored in a quiet and secure marina, central France, accessible by motorway, train, and in the centre of several cruising routes, the mooring could be transferrable without any problem at a very convenient price (paid until July 2018 and annual cost was around 1300 euros).
