The original 130HP Perkins are in great condition and have been regularly serviced. The owner tells me they still have plenty of grunt and will cruise comfortably at 8 knots but has plenty in reserve if needed. The current owners have done plenty of Channel crossings and it is a great cruiser for exploring the canals of Europe.

Broker's Comments
Over the last 20 years, the current owners of this 42ft Dutch Trawler have created a comfortable and classic long distance cruising yacht with plenty of equipment and space on board and in the condition of a much younger boat because of the passion of the current owners for her.
There are two cabins and two heads with showers on board. The aft master cabin makes full use of the large beam on this boat and is spacious with masses of storage.
The original engines are in a remarkable condition for their age too, again thanks to the fastidiousness of the owner for all things mechanical on this boat. There are nine batteries on board with separate ones for the bow and stern thrusters and anchor winch with a clever management system so that they all remain charged and can be monitored from the helm. There is also a generator and washing machine allowing for long-distance cruising away from shore power and marinas.
The boat has been stored ashore for the previous two seasons so is ready to go for the summer months with just antifoul needed which the current owner will be carrying out before sale.
