Broker's Comments
*****Heavily reduced to sell*****
Boatshed Norfolk are very pleased to be able to offer to the market an incredibly rare, privately commissioned (year 2000) Sheerline 1260 (Alpha 42).
This boat was a special private commission for an owner who was a wheelchair user and the boat was designed and fitted out with this aspect in mind meaning there is incredible space in the boat.
The beautiful and quality Sheerline oak fit and finish is everywhere, and the boat has extra wide doors and companionways to accommodate a wheelchair user. That said, this unique design only enhances the fit out making the boat both spacious and very easy to move around.
This boat has always been in private hands since new and appears to be presented in excellent original gelcoat and benefits from the double "Targa top" sliding two-piece roof over the saloon.
The current owner bought the boat two years ago and has improved the boat adding stern thruster, new 8kw Eberspacher diesel heating, new raw water system for the engine, new shower mixer, 2 new alternators, new front well canopy, 5 batteries and a 32 inch smart TV.
As per all Sheerline boats the workmanship, materials and finish is second to none and this boat exudes quality and style.
The current owner has done 200 hours in his two years of enjoying this comfortable boat and she now shows 908 running hours and starts and runs as she should, having been recently serviced . She enjoys a new large 8kw Eberspacher heating system that heats the entire boat. The boat has heavily upgraded systems to include full, large capacity solar power installation with Victron charger and inverter and lithium batteries.
She also enjoys a valid Boat Safety Certificate to March 2028, and her 2024 Broads toll is paid. Her galley to port has a Waeco fridge and a separate under counter freezer and the whole galley is very usable and well equipped with full size gas cooker and plenty of storage and worktop space.
The current owner has a standard full size bed in the large aft cabin or this could be used as a large aft saloon, the choice is yours. The mid cabin is a very large single but could also be lightly modified to make this an extendable double. The forward saloon seating converts to a comfortable double. The twin sliding roof sections makes the forward saloon a wonderful place from which to enjoy the rivers while opened up to the sun, and offers great deck access and flexibility.
The current owner has invested heavily in the boat but is now moving away and so the boat is being sold so that a new owner can enjoy all the benefits that this unique boat has to offer.
This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a unique and high quality Broads cruiser that has been lightly used in its life.
This really is a rare and quality vessel and has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The boat's large aft cabin has a small heads compartment that has a basin fitted and space for either a pump-out second toilet or a porta potti loo. The space is used as storage when when the current buyer bought the boat but fitting a second loo would be a nice touch here if the storage space is not required.
A legacy of the original build and design is the presence of a hinging side section to port that was made to accommodate wheel chair access via an electric ramp which was removed several years back. However, as the boat is modified to accommodate this it would lend itself to a wheel chair user in the future.
A mooring at Weyford Bridge may be available by separate agreement with the marina owner.
