Broker's Comments
Saga Boats AS, in production on Norway's west coast since 1960, believe a combination of high quality craftsmanship and a focus on seamanship make them one of the leading Scandinavian pleasure boat builders.
The Saga 29HT was voted Motor Boat Monthly's Boat of the Year in the class for wheelhouse cruisers during the London Boat Show in 2005. Although the 29 is no longer in production all parts and spares are readily available from Saga Boats, everything from a replacement canopy to branded crockery! Powered by a single Yanmar diesel engine for optimum fuel economy, with a bow and stern thruster to aid manoeuvrability, she really is a boat you could take anywhere.
Stepping aboard it was immediately obvious to me why MBY liked her so much. The modern style of popular production motorboats (deck level saloon, sliding doors, walk through transom) is there but what sets her apart is that she oozes quality. From the beautiful teak bathing platform to the interior fittings, everything just looks so well engineered and she appears to have been very well looked after. There's a feeling of luxury rarely found in a boat of this size but she still remains practical, everything has a purpose (or two in some cases) and everything has a place. She's clean, bright and fresh and well equipped for comfortable cruising
