Broker's Comments
The Princess 30 DS was created back in 1980 through a collaboration between John Bennett and Bernard Olesinski. It’s testament to them that the classic lines still look good today. They created a great platform for family coastal, inland or river cruising, and these vessels are still very popular.
This example has been used as a live aboard ashore for the last twelve months and has been kept clean and tidy by it’s current owner.
The accommodation on this boat is cleverly set out in four areas. The lower deck has a forward cabin with two single berths that can easily be converted into a double. Moving aft there is an area with a dinette to port, a galley to starboard and a separate heads compartment with shower, hand basin and, at the moment, a temporary urinal (the inlet, outlet pipes and stopcocks are fitted ready for the installation of a toilet).
Coming up the steps and moving aft, we reach a comfortable deck saloon. Here there is a helm seat with good all round visibility and controls to port, a bench seat behind and a L shaped seating area to starboard with a moveable Iroko table. Through the two sliding glass doors we then come to a roomy cockpit with seating for up to 6 and a full canvas enclosure which appears to be in good condition. The large Lazarette provides plenty of handy storage for deck equipment.
Strong, roomy and sleek with a well protected helm, this vessel offers a good living area and would be ideal for coastal or inland cruising.
