The President 37 Sundeck is an aft cabin cruiser that offers a lot of space, solid teak joinery, and large windows for panoramic views. The hull is a modified V, which culminates in hard chines allowing for a shallow draft and stability for a boat of its size.
Wide side decks offer ease and safety while moving about the decks when docking or pulling fenders.
The sundeck and upper helm are completely enclosed with canvas and large windows, offering excellent visibility. The upper helm is equipped with electronics and controls for navigation and plenty of seating for guests to be comfortable while underway. The sundeck is just 3 steps down and has easy access to the decks or to the main salon; the boat has a very open, “connected” feel.
Entering the salon area you are greeted with warm teak and comfortable appointments: a settee, with high-low table to port, room for a small chair or two, and the lower helm to starboard. Seemingly every space is used for storage.
(Note: There are several personal items, such as artwork which are currently on board that will not be included in the sale.)
Compartments, chart storage and drawers surround the salon. The teak throughout the boat appears to be in excellent condition. The current owners have taken pride in their conscientious maintenance and awareness of using a dehumidifier to maintain its beauty. The dehumidifier will be included in the sale.
The galley is forward and down three steps. It is U-shaped to port with the sink, stove/oven and loads of counter space. The Tundra refrigerator/freezer is starboard with a large hanging locker and built in storage. Additional space has been created for dry goods and wine underneath the floor hatches – smart!
Forward of the galley is the guest stateroom and ensuite head. The double v-berth has an insert for comfort and is surrounded by built-in bookshelves, drawers and storage compartments. The bow thruster motor is accessible underneath the v-berth as well.
The master stateroom with ensuite head is aft with a large island double (storage and stern thruster motor underneath). Hanging lockers, drawers, and bookshelves surround the stateroom. The head with separate shower is to port and ample in size.
The Ford Lehman SP225 turbo-charged engine, Onan generator and Wabasto diesel heater are easily accessed underneath the salon hatches.
This will be a very comfortable live aboard, or cruiser, for her next owners!

Broker's Comments
This boat is an excellent version of a year-round Pacific Northwest boat. She is equipped with an efficient single Ford Lehman SP225 turbo diesel, bow and stern thrusters, an Onan generator and Webasto diesel heater. The two-cabin, two-head layout offers privacy whether cruising with family or another couple. The salon is cozy and the galley has loads of storage options to accommodate either extended cruising or living aboard. If you have been considering a Tollycraft, CHB or Grand Banks of this era, I encourage you to give this boat a good look!
