Broker's Comments

This 2001 Porters 7.8m RIB is well set up to take advantage of the summer season and is ready to go. The current owner took it on four years ago and set about putting in the diesel inboard 1.7DTi engine. It was a reconditioned unit that was installed in 2017. It has run for about 50 hours since then.

Porters are a small outfit from Emsworth that build dinghies and RIBs. This 7.8m model uses a Phantom hull and has an attractive sweeping shape. Reported of being capable of about 35 knots at top speed, this is a great family RIB.

The boat has been stored in a barn for the last four years and is presented in good condition. The upholstery was also replaced in 2017.

The trailer has been fitted with new rollers and new hubs. The boat, when it has been used, was launched by crane instead of from the trailer so it hasn't been in salt water.
