Broker's Comments
Piper Wide beam barges are very popular and have a huge amount to offer the liveaboard boater.
This tidy 2010 example is presented win a very nice navy blue with cream coachroof (the coachroof is due for a new coat of paint and this has been allowed for in the asking price).
The boat is a very nice spacious and comfortable place to be and is very well equipped with twin wall professionally installed 5kw wood burner, washer dryer, dishwasher, full size gas cooker with hob Grill and oven and a microwave and large fridge freezer all in a very large and workable galley that is a pleasure on the eye.
She has very nice light Cherry / light oak interior, a large 3KVA Mastervolt 100A invertor charger, 8 good quality brand batteries, bow thruster, and a generator aboard plus a 240v shore support with 14 double sockets throughout the vessel.
The large aft cockpit has good engine room access to the Kubota 75HP diesel engine and also houses the silent cased generator and wet eating system boiler. She had a new shaft, propeller 19 x13 stern gland etc in 2021 and is fitted with powerful bow thruster with 2 separate batteries.
The Vendor thinks the wet heating system has a fault but is hoping to get it looked at shortly. He advises the wood burner has kept him cosy on the boat so the wet system has not been used for a while. The boat has two good sized double cabins, both with loads of storage options and the separate large heads compartment with shower and bath. The mid cabin can convert to a sofa so is also usable as a separate sitting area.
The large forward master cabin has separate en-suite facilities and shower and is very cosy and looks out over the foredeck through double cratch doors. The forward deck has access to the huge water tank and log storage and a covered storage locker that will have a new lid fabricated shortly.
The boat has a good survey and hull ultrasound from March 2021. Her Broads toll is paid to March 2024 and she has a current Boat Safety Certificate to August 2027.
These are very well built vessels that have a good reputation and she will not disappoint. Solar panels are included and the control system is fitted should the new owner wish to re mount them to the coachroof and connect them.
The boat has all her manuals and her VAT Certificate all present and correct. Her mooring may be available by separate discussion with the marina.
