Broker's Comments
This 1967 Otter 36 Twin Screw Motor Sailor was loved and cherished before the late owner's passing. Now being offered for sale by the beneficiaries, it is fair to say that the time to conclude probate has taken its told. That said, the potential of this vessel can clearly be seen, and she is far from being a project boat.
The price of this vessel reflects that she is in need of extensive cleaning both inside and out and some modernization.
Due to having been in the water for some time (only recently having been lifted out), she does need a good clean underneath and servicing of her mechanicals as well as a close inspection of her wood carvel construction.
This is a vessel that will shine again with plenty of elbow grease and whilst renovation costs are only to be expected, the price has been set to reflect the potential that she offers.
Her engines at first glance look clean and in good order although these have not been tested and their year is unknown
The electrics have not been tested and whilst navigation equipment is included, this may warrant updating.
The plumbing has not been tested and items such as the seacocks will need replacing as due to their nature they have corroded.
This is an opportunity to add value to a vessel whilst enjoying the fruits of your labour.
Please note that the details within have not been verified by the beneficiaries due to their own admission that they are not experienced boat owners. As the broker I have represented what I can see but suggest you carry out your own inspection or arrange your own survey
Please get in touch to discuss further if of interest, a web link to the previous advert showing her in all her glory and detailing her history is available on request.
