This Nordlund 38 is a carvel planked wood hull, single engine built in Tacoma WA. The hull has a nearly plumb stem, bluff bow, rounded forefoot, long straight keel and broad transom stern with a swim step. The hull sections have moderate dead rise and an easy round bilges. An interesting feature in the run is a concave section over the propeller.

The deck is on three levels. Low aft and side decks around the house, a raised foredeck and a boat deck over the house extending to the transom. There is a ladder on the port side from the aft deck to the boat deck and flybridge.

Extensive work was completed on the hull planking by a previous owner. The hull was refastened and two additional SS screws were added per plank, each frame.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Broker's Comments

This Nordlund 38 Sedan Trawler is an outstanding example of a classic Northwest cruising boat designed by Ed Monk. The current owner and previous owners have performed many upgrades and have evidently provided attentive maintenance.

As well as being a dependable cruising boat , its current mooring situation provides a great live-aboard location on an outside Lake Union marina dock. The moorage is transferrable to the new owner. Please look at our video for the great view.

The interior provides a large living space with a full galley including a full size refrigerator and propane stove with oven. The upper deck is great for toy storage or just a great place to sit in the sun and watch the activity on the lake.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced trawler with a great location this may be the one for you.
