Vinylester resin used in first laminations below waterline.
Heavy-duty transverse and longitudinal stringers are glassed to the hull to provide strength and rigidity.
The stainless steel prop shaft is 2" diameter and drives a 28" 4-bladed bronze prop. The 2 l/4" stainless steel rudder shaft controls the rudder made from l/2" stainless plate. The rudder assembly is protected and strengthened with a massive bronze rudder shoe.
All exterior gel coat above waterline "Arocoat" or equal brand.
Hull interior solid series laminated fiberglass (no coring).
Cabin sides cored with Divinicell cross-linked foam.
Cabin top and deck cored with 3 ½" squares of end grain balsa.
The deck-to-hull joint is fastened with stainless steel through-bolts on 6" centers using 3M's 5200.
Ballast: 4000 lbs of internal iron laid and glassed into keel. 600 additional lbs of lead for trimming ballast

From Pacific Asian Enterprises, P.A.E. the builders of the highly regarded "Mason" range of sailing yachts, the boat that started it all. In the highly specialized world of oceangoing "Trawler Yacht", recreational power vessels, the Nordhavn 46 has achieved the legendary status of a modern day classic. This, one owner, example has just had a complete top to bottom exterior repaint and polish in preparation for a return to Europe but a change of plans mean she is now offered for sale in Thailand. The current owner has lived aboard this seakindly and seaworthy vessel firstly for 7 years in Hong Kong and then for another 7 1/2 years cruising SE Asia.

The owner will contribute 25 K towards the delivery costs of overseas buyers.
