On stepping aboard, it’s the substantial nature of this little ship that strikes me initially. She feels solid underfoot, and closer inspection reveals the reason: she’s built out of quality materials to a high standard. From the heavy lay-up of the GRP hull to the functional yet stylish deck fittings, it’s clear that few corners have been cut. Wide side decks and high safety rails make moving around the exterior reassuringly easy. There is a spacious upper helm position with plenty of room for socialising in the sun. Below decks warm wood predominates, and the accommodation makes for a generous and comfortable existence afloat. She’s not designed for dashing about. Her forte is for dignified and sedate cruising, where enjoying the journey is as important as arriving at the destination.
