Broker's Comments
This 1944 MFV 88 was built for the Admiralty and mainly used post war.
The current owner has owned this MFV 88 for approximately 5 years and has been slowly refurbishing the boat to a high standard since taking ownership.
Internally the boat has benefited from a new Galley, new heads with large shower and new carpets.
The main saloon living / sleeping areas are nicely presented and you could live on board this MFV 88 from day one, there are still two further cabins that need completing.
Externally the current owner has had a new deck laid on the foredeck.
In terms of the hull that can be seen above the water line this will require quite a lot of work ( as can be seen from the photos) to complete the full refurbishment of this boat.
The Gardner engine has not been started for some time. The current owner is investigating the possibility of getting an engineer to look at the engine to get it operating again.
This boat has a lot of potential if you are prepared to spend some time and money on her. She has lots of living space for a family and she would make a great Houseboat or holiday home on the water .
