The LOCHIN 33 GDSV was developed for commercial 'offshore' operations as patrol / police launches and this vessel saw service with Dorset Police in the 1980/90's and subsequently the London Met. Police. Now in private hands, she has been re-engined with sensibly powered Volvo engines giving her sparkling performance. She could benefit from some cosmetic improvements externally but she is amply suitable to re-enter the commercial world or continue as a distance cruiser with all the advantages a Lochin can provide. The engine room is accessed through the central wheelhouse floor with hinged panels providing good service access. A central door in the aft bulkhead leads to the after deck which is enclosed by rails. Inboard hand rails with hook-on wires takes you forward to the fore deck. An after lazarette provides storage and access to the steering gear and engine room via a water tight door. The wide side decks provide good access around the vessel and the fore deck provides a good working area with the electric capstan winch mounted centrally. The hull has the usual heavy duty gunwhale fender plus additional 'straking' sections from aft to forward of amidships. A mast provides mounting for antenna and the radar is roof mounted.
