Un Luxemotor sorti du Chantier Alphon en Rijn en 1927 et acheté il y a trente ans par notre client qui l’a transformé en bateau logement confortable. Notez 1 cuve à fioul 375 lts. 1 cuve à gasoil 750lts 2 cuves eau douce 750lts chacune.

Luxemotor built by Alphon en Rijn in 1927. Bought out of trade by our client thirty years ago and converted in the UK. Six channel crossings under her keel & well looked after. Note 2 diesel tanks fitted 1 red 375lts. 1 white 750lts 2 fresh water tanks 750lts each.

After a lifetime in the profession and a retirement spent on a « busmans holiday » you ‘d think our client was selling this convivial live aboard barge to go to pastures new. Well not a bit of it. An incurable ambassador of pleasure cruising he has another smaller, more manageable boat already waiting in the wings.
It was a pleasure to meet with such an enthusiastic boater on-board a boat he evidently feels very much a part of. Not surprising really, as he has thoughtfully managed all the works carried out including the original conversion when he bought it thirty years ago and all subsequent upgrades. He knows every « rivet and cranny » of this comfortable and versatile boat and has no reservations about crossing the Channel (6 passages to date) or taking her up to Lechlade at the head of the River Thames. The fit out has the charm of the period and has been kept in first-rate condition. To be sold with the furniture and equipment down to the last teaspoon she is ready to move onto and will make a comfortable cruising home for Europe or UK waters.
