Broker's Comments
Boatshed Southampton are pleased to offer for sale, this stunning classic motor launch CIRCA 1900. She is built in the carvel style and is made of teak with mahogany decks. It is thought that she was originally built as a tender for a larger Motor Yacht. She still has the original lifting plates. The current owner has thoroughly restored her to the magnificent condition that she can be seen in today.
Up to 10 years ago she was powered by a steam engine. In about 2010 she was converted to a modern, quiet electric engine. This is powered by a bank of eight 12 V batteries that can be charged in about five hours. She has a range of about 40 miles. The owner has meticulously maintained her over the time and she is in immaculate condition.
This boat would suit somebody who would be willing to take on the stewardship of such a wonderful craft. The current owner has had her for over 40 years and will be sad to see her go.
