Broker's Comments
Currently used as a holiday home ashore, with a cracking view of the estuary, this sturdy, seaworthy Colvic Watson 31.5 is definitely a project worth completing.
The forward cabin has a roomy double berth with good storage. The saloon, which also has plenty of integrated storage, has a cosy dinette area, ample seating, a TV and a traditional, economical diesel heater (ready to be fitted).
There is a separate heads compartment which, at present, is a work in progress to become a wet room with a handbasin and shower.
A few steps up takes you to a spacious, light and airy wheel house with excellent all round visibility, a helm position with a comfy captain’s seat, plenty of nav equipment (provided ready to be fitted) and a good sized galley area.
There’s ample seating in a roomy cockpit and, for those days where the sun is hiding, there’s a full cockpit enclosure. Whilst a combination of high cockpit combings and high safety rails, enables you to move around the deck safely.
With an open plan, light, spacious feel and good headroom throughout, this vessel has a lot of potential for a comfortable home on or by the sea. If you’re looking for a full or part time live aboard, and you enjoy the challenge of a project, then this could be the boat for you.
