This is a new, custom built wooden center console launch designed for Northwest waters.
The design features a high freeboard for a dry ride, a wide transom for stability, a v-shaped entry to cut through chop, and a balance of moderate deadrise and beam for a soft ride at planing speeds.
Only the best materials were used in construction. The keel is of White Oak. The framing, planking, and decking is Sapele, a type of African Mahogany that is known for its hardness, beautiful grain structure, and ability to take a finish in a dark red-brown tone. This finish is seen on the coaming and trim and contrasts beautifully with the smooth white Z-Spar High Gloss paint finish and ivory Interlux Interdeck deck coating.
Fasteners are silicon bronze screws. The boat is constructed traditionally in carvel planking with cotton in the seams and seam compound. Bedding compound is also used at joints in the framing and structure as needed. Floors are Sapele with marine plywood lamination for stiffness with reduced weight. The boat features a Brazilian teak cockpit sole with removable hatch panels and a teak grate at the helm.
Length overall: 19 feet.

Broker's Comments
This Port Townsend Bay 19 Launch is a center console utility boat traditionally built with high quality hardwoods by shipwright Bob Cunningham in Port Townsend, Washington State USA.
The launch is designed for the rigors of the inshore coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest. The boat is a gem and showcases the beauty of rich African Sapele hardwood in contrast to gleaming white painted surfaces and an ivory deck coating. The boat is built primarily from this tropical hardwood to the highest standards of wooden boat craftsmanship.
The boat is configured with controls and instrumentation to run a Yamaha 70 HP outboard (not included) which can be purchased for under $9,000 at major retailers. This engine will enable the boat to reach planing speed with efficiency and fuel economy. Navigation lights, an electric horn, and electrical switch controls for a single battery are installed (battery not included). The boat is wired for a single bilge pump (not included). A galvanized steel trailer is included.
If you're considering a mass-produced center console such as Everglades, Scout, or Eastern Boats then you might want to consider something truly unique in our classic wooden center console launch.
