Broker's Comments
This lovely, traditional wooden sailing vessel was built in 1980 as a Breton sailing crabber by Monsieur Marcel Heltergouarch of Concarneau.
Designed for small scale potting, sea bass fishing or day sailing, she is robust and sound with typical Breton line. The open deck with carvel hull is constructed of 7/8th mahogany planking on substantial sawn oak frames.
During 2010, this vessel went through a major refurbishment programme which was carried out by a highly regarded local shipwright and overseen by the owner, a maritime professional himself.
A new modern Beta 16hp engine was fitted, which now has less than 100 hours. All wooden areas were made good, which included replacing some planking, building a new deck and fitting a new rudder. The bilge pumps were upgraded to modern standards as were the radio and navigation equipment.
The owner still uses her regularly and continues to maintain & improve her. This vessel is lifted out annually for hull clean / anti-foul and the engine was last serviced as late as August 2016. A survey & post refurbishment valuation report is available upon request.
