Broker's Comments
Belliure Yachts, (Vincente Belliure Construcciones Navales S.L) was founded in 1953 and still remains in Calpe, just outside Alicante in Spain. Initially building wooden fishing boats, they evolved with the changing times and in 1974 began designing and building boats for the rapidly expanding leisure market. GRP construction was new technology and Belliure embraced it, becoming well known for combining high quality construction methods with particular attention to detail
The Belliure 48 is described as 'classically elegant', of that there is no doubt but she is much more than that. She has the feel of a small ship, solid and strong but with the handling and performance of a motor yacht.
On deck she feels safe to move around, the dual helm stations allowing you to adapt to the conditions and there are comfortable seating and lounging areas on both the aft deck and flybridge. The wheelhouse has excellent visibility and is well laid out with easy access to all levels, making short-handed passagemaking undemanding.
Down below she oozes quality, the interior joinery and leather upholstery gives the full width deck-level saloon a real sense of luxury and the cabins are light, bright and airy with a comfortable yet practical feel. Cruising will remain comfortable wherever you are headed thanks to her air conditioning and dual heating systems including radiators in both heads
And still there is more! A large, well insulated access hatch from the aft deck reveals a vast lazarette, housing all sorts from her stern gear to a washing machine! A bulkhead door leads to the engine room, again huge considering the size of boat and so clean and organised. An engineer's dream!
This particular Belliure 48 is extremely well presented and appears to have been meticulously maintained and cared for in both her previous (only one) and present ownership. She is currently afloat and in commission and an absolute pleasure to be aboard
