Broker's Comments
This Askham Bullet was built in the early 80’s. The Nelson full displacement hulls are known to move “through the water”, rather than on top of it, and are considered very seaworthy. Their deep and wide hull shape allows for large fuel and water tankage, large storage volume, and typically have large engine rooms in the centre of the boat, as well as comfortable living areas. Hulls used for used for workboats & trawlers.
The Nelson, Lloyds certified GRP hull is solid, around 30mm and more thick.
The extensive refit/overhaul added a bow thruster, reduced underwater thru hull apertures and produced a “bullet proof jacket” hull.
The engines and drive shafts overhauled and updated.
A complete internal refit, insulation, easy clean surfaces & access.
All new electrical and electronics equipment fitted.
Automatic fire detectors and fire suppression.
Heating from either electric or diesel (needs commissioning) for long cruises.
Everything labelled and extensive documentation available.
A “new” up to date boat on very solid foundations.
Ready for commercial or private use as sea cruiser or houseboat.
