In researching the performance of this boat, it is the unique KEELFORM hull that allows the boat to operate so efficiently. The cruising speed is actually more of a range based on an individuals’ cruising comfort. “…(t)he Camano Keelform hull, which blends a hard-chined, planing bottom aft with the deep stem and big keel normally found on slower displacement yachts. The blend permits good handling and stable cruising at speeds from 8 knots to 17.” (PassageMaker mag. 2006). The stated speed and fuel consumption is as reported by the current owner.
In the engine compartment, everything is installed with efficiency and access in mind. You have access to all sides of the engine, the genset opens easily for maintenance, there is room in front of and around the watermaker, and the oil changer is installed to not interfere with other components. It is extremely clean with labels on all components so there is no confusion.

This Camano 41 may have a “workman-like” appearance on the outside but does not sacrifice any sense of comfort in the interior.
A manual SeaWise davit system and a 10 foot Achilles dinghy with 9.8 hp Tohatsu engine grace the swim step. The cockpit, six feet deep, is entered via a transom door. There is a hot/cold shower, and fresh and raw water wash down along with storage, propane locker and fire extinguisher locker along all sides of the cockpit -- with placement that does not impose on the space. The cockpit has a hard cover for protection from the sun or inclement weather, which also adds to the fly bridge space for either deck chairs or as an alternative place for dinghy storage.
The decks are fiberglass with sturdy stainless handrails. Large windows, which open for ventilation, and cabin door are powder-coated aluminum. A sturdy stainless ladder leads to the fly bridge. There are side-by-side captain's chairs at the helm with an L-shaped settee to starboard.

The interior is beautifully appointed. The beam-to-beam large saloon with sapele and mahogany offers warmth and beauty. The walls have ultra-leather covering and the windows are covered with shades that may be completely open, or may have filtered or opaque coverings for protection from the sun or privacy. Throughout the saloon, galley, master stateroom and heads are adjustable/dimming light switches and reading lights for ambience and enjoyment. Heat: Two (2) Espar diesel heaters and two (2) electric heaters maintain warmth in the salon and/or master suite.
In the salon, Ultraleather Flexsteel barrel chairs and salon table are to port. An Ultraleather couch which is capable of extending footrests, or converting into a comfortable bed with deluxe air mattress is to starboard. The TV, stereo, microwave and icemaker are at home in a cabinet just forward of the settee.

The u-shaped galley is to port with a large counter area, molded sink, Force 10 propane stove and oven with the fridge/freezer just beside. Below the counters are drawers and pantry pull-outs which fully extend. A Broan trash compactor completes the galley components.

The helm is to starboard with full navigation equipment and a large 2-person helm seat.

Forward and down three steps you enter the stateroom. Carpeted and surrounded by mahogany and sapele it is a very warm, comfortable space. The queen island bed is reportedly very comfortable! Bookshelves, drawer spaces, hanging lockers surround the room. The Splendide combination washer/dryer is in the locker at the foot of the bed. The head and shower are separate to starboard and port, respectively. The head and shower being separate seems to add to the sense of space and luxury while allowing guests the use of the head much like a day head.
The engine compartment on this boat is actually a room of its own. An area, which is not often admired and, more often forgotten, is to be recognized for its own splendor. It is so clean that it is a pleasure to inspect. The current owner chuckles there have been a few occasions in which a glass of wine has been enjoyed while chatting with others in the engine room. The Yanmar engine is deep and settled in the middle with access to all sides. The Northern Lights generator is aft with easy access for maintenance. The two aluminum fuel tanks and two water tanks are dispersed to either side. Forward of the fuel and water tanks, the Marine Tec water maker is to starboard while the water heater is port. The Reverso oil changer is tucked forward with the sanitation and holding equipment. Everything is perfectly labeled and tidy!
This Camano 41 is a beauty inside and out!

Galley: Force 10 3-burner propane stove/oven.

Broker's Comments

Camano boats are known for their unique KEELFORM hull design -- a deep stem similar to a displacement hull which flattens into hard chines in the aft like a planing hull and a large keel improving tracking, stability and fuel economy. The hull design allows the engine to be placed such that the boat has a low center of gravity, and coupled with a low bow rise, the boat is not only stable but is a dry ride, as well.

Gracious lines of the Camano brand are seen in this Camano 41 and enhanced by the beautiful fit and finish of the interior. Huge aluminum welded door and windows, which open and are screened, give a 360 degree view. Mahogany and sapele woods along with ultra-leather furniture give the interior warmth and comfort throughout.

The engine compartment, comprised of the Yanmar engine, Northern Lights generator, Marine Tec Watermaker, and Reverso Oil changer is extremely spacious, well laid out, and clean.
