Broker's Comments
A beautifully presented and very well-maintained yacht, built on the renown Bruce Farr hull design, which has a personal best passage time of nine hours from Cherbourg to Portsmouth Harbour. All lines/controls lead aft to the cockpit to support short-handed sailing.
This was the Southampton boat show yacht and includes such extras as blue hull, teak decking, Alcantarra upholstery in the saloon, television, upgraded cooker to four burners and 100hp Yanmar engine with folding prop (original fixed bladed prop available) and rope cutter. The engine has only 800 engine hours runtime. It also has generous tankage enabling extended cruising and alievoating constant top ups, i.e. 1000 litres of water and 500 litres of fuel.
Recent maintenance/refit includes replacement standing rigging, mainsail stack bag, spray hood and domestic batteries. The hull has recently been polished and a fresh coat of antifoul applied. Sails have been recently maintained by Kemp Sails and includes a heavy-duty storm sail and spinnaker. Spinnaker winches and running gear have been added.
This yacht features a master cabin located forward with en-suite toilet, separate shower cubicle and dressing table. There is ample storage with two wardrobes, drawers and under bunk space. Two guest cabins are located aft with en-suite facilities including showers and ample storage. There is a forward crew cabin with two individual bunks.
The saloon is centrally located with seating for eight and is separated from the galley with a fore and aft peninsular which houses the microwave and further storage. Opposite are the twin sinks, cooker, fridge and cold box capable of making ice.
The cockpit is well organised with lockers, twin wheels and walk through aft to aid stern to mooring, often required in Mediterranean ports for example
Space abounds on this yacht and viewing is highly recommended.
