Broker's Comments
The vendor, an adventurous Icelandic 20 something year old, planned to cross the Atlantic in this small boat. Don't scoff he's already sailed here from Norway. We has now identified a bigger and more suitable boat so wants to sell the Albin Vega quickly.
There is no doubt that that this is a very well used and old boat but in 2012 she got brand new sails and a brand new outboard engine for her passage to Gibraltar from Norway. It is doubtful that you could get a sailing cruiser in anything but "project" condition for this boat's price. She could provide an excellent first boat or a boat for someone on a very tight budget.
The Vega is an "All Weather Boat". Her all round sailing qualities are excellent, and she is as responsive to the lighter breezes in Coastal Sailing as she is to the brisk winds found in deep water cruising.
Sadly the Vega is no longer made.
