About Ronald Paxton
I started working with Boatshed Florida Keys in May 2023.
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
I'm originally from South Africa and started sailing Oppies at a young age and quickly grew to love the sport. I continued to race competitively until in 2008, my wife and I left South Africa to pursue a career in yachting. As captain and chef, we ran 50 - 67ft catamarans before changing over to motor yachts in 2013. Now a resident of Florida, I aim to share my love of boats and yachts with new and experienced owners alike.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
After talking with Andy, I liked the approach that Boashed take when representing a boat.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
I love both
What is your most memorable boating experience?
I was lucky enough to represent South Africa at the 1997 GP14 world championships in Skerries, Ireland.
